Welcome to the Principal’s blog

The Cardijn Newsletter, our website and Facebook page have been a point of discussion for the last 12 months. Cardijn College is very excited to increase and streamline information and sharing of good news using a range of different media such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Principal’s Blog, LinkedIn as well as our school publications. We know that there is an increasing demand for timely communications and information and in short bursts. Our families, students, staff and friends are consumers of social media which provides for a range of text-based, photographic and video items in a timely manner. We believe we can create a more dynamic and exciting connection with families and community through our new approach. On Facebook, we are sharing our events in a more immediate and purposeful way, the Principal’s Blog will provide you with news from the principal about school and educational matters, Instagram will be a page where short video clips, photos and advertisements will be shared, including information about school tours. SMS and Email will continue to be used regarding urgent information about school matters and reminders for events.  Two newsletters a term will be published each having a specific focus. In August, it is a focus on pathways to University, Training, Marcellin Technical and TAFE and our 2018 subjects selection process. Our September issue will be focussed on Pastoral Care and Transition with a special focus on our 2019 Year 7 transition.

At Cardijn, we are keen to have our families and extended community engaged in what is happening in the rich life of Cardijn.
